Nurse Midwives
Meet Our Nurse Midwives
Abbie Tasho DNP/CNM
Board Certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives
Abbie earned her nursing degree from Georgia College & State University. After a few years of nursing, she transitioned to labor and delivery nursing at George Washington Hospital in Washington, D.C. After moving to Colorado to be a travel nurse, Abbie then earned her Master’s of Nursing in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. In September 2020, Abbie presented her Doctorate of Nursing Practice project!
Abbie’s time as a labor and delivery nurse was foundational in her love for midwifery. She enjoys being able to care for women at all stages of life, and she desires for patients to feel heard, seen, and truly cared for by their healthcare provider. Abbie’s favorite part of her day to day practice is the education aspect of health care. She wants her patients to feel that they are able to make informed decisions about their body and health. In her patient care, Abbie is striving to incorporate current, up-to-date evidence-based healthcare. While Abbie loves all types of patients, pregnancy and childbirth is her true passion.
Abbie is originally from the suburbs of Atlanta, GA. She first came to Denver while being a travel labor and delivery nurse. She fell deeply in love with the people and the mountain views, and she decided to stay! She is a new home owner and proud mother of her puppy, Muggs. Outside of AAWC, Abbie is busy spending time with friends, completing house projects, reading for her two book clubs, or, most likely, playing with Muggs!
